SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
A Rockfield Home is traditionally built with clever twists. From our first development, we are looking at all kinds of ways to make your future home more sustainable - from the fabric of the building to how it's insulated and heated. Where possible we'll use local materials such as quarried stone.
WE AIM FOR "A" RATINGS
Your new home will be highly energy-efficient and economical to run. This promise starts with our focus on build quality and air tightness, and extends to the upgraded AEG/Bosch appliances that we fit as standard.
We also upgrade sanitaryware to help with water conservation.
Homes must achieve a ‘B’ rating, but we like to aim for one better.
HEDGEHOG FRIENDLY
We work with ecologists to understand and protect biodiversity – the little creatures and their habitats, because they live here, too.
Around our sites, you may notice discreet bird boxes, hedgehog tunnels, bat housing, sensitive lighting, native hedgerows and clever planting.

WE RECYCLE, SIMPLE.
Building creates waste. We take care to quantify materials precisely in the first place to reduce the surplus. Anything else is segregated for recycling.
It should be standard practice across the industry, but sadly it’s not.
PLUG IN, WHEEL OUT
By 2030, electric cars will be the new norm. Many of our customers are not waiting until then…and neither are we.
All our open market homes come with electric car chargers as standard, along with covered bicycle storage.
WE PLANT TREES
For every house we build, we plant trees to help offset our carbon footprint.
Trees are our most valuable assets in the fight against climate change. Through Ecologi.com we support reforestation projects here in the South West and further afield in places including the Amazon rainforest.
